Groningen, the Netherlands

What kind of studies do you work on?
Studies using fluorescence imaging for the detection of unknown primaries in the oral cavity.

Why did you want to do research/work in this field?      
During my final internship in the UMCG, I came in contact with this field. After hearing about the research in the field and the results, I immediately became really enthusiastic about the line of research and its potential clinical applications and impact.

What is your background/did you study?
Technical Medicine, University of Twente

What relevant experiences did you gain during your study?   
During my education, we had multiple internships in which I gained experience in the several stages of research, from patient inclusion to analysis and reporting those results. Furthermore, I gained experience in working with a multidisciplinary team and patients.

What do you like to do when you are not working?
I like to play and coach field hockey. I also like to watch and play other sports on the weekends and hang out with friends playing games.
